Carson Daly Has a New ‘Today’ Gig—Inside the Sprawling Long Island Estate He Calls Home When He’s Not in the Studio
Carson Daly’s weekends just got a whole lot busier—the “Today” host will join the Saturday edition of the show as a co-anchor.
The TV personality shared the news on the Nov. 5 episode of “Today,” noting that he’ll be joining existing co-anchor Laura Jarrett while upholding his weekday broadcast duties.
According to NBC News, Carson, 53, had been working as the interim “Saturday Today” anchor since September.
“I should just say, I’ve been very lucky to have a lot of TV gigs, but this one’s really special,” he said on the show. “At my age and at my stage of my career, to have an opportunity to come in and sit next to Laura and to learn and to get better at my job and be the best broadcaster that I can, it’s not something I take lightly.”
Nov. 7 will be Carson’s first official day as co-anchor.

“We’re going to have a lot of fun on Saturday,” he said. “But most importantly, the best part about the gig, like here during the week—which I’ll still be here during the week—is getting to go to your place of employment with such high-quality human beings. We are a family, and the fact that I get to spend one more day in this building, six days a week, is an absolute honor.”
When Carson isn’t spending time at the New York City studios that “Today” is filmed in, he has a beautiful family home in Manhasset, NY.
In 2013, the “Total Request Live” alum snapped up a six-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom estate for $6.5 million, according to The Sun. Carson purchased the home—which is about 25 miles northeast of Manhattan—for $6.5 million.
The Colonial-style abode is a gorgeous escape from the bustle of the city and includes a pool and a pool house.
Carson shared a glimpse inside the home in 2020, when he posted a snapshot of his family celebrating Easter. He noted that he was “especially grateful” for his family’s “blessings,” as he and his wife, Siri Daly, and their four young children virtually participated in their Catholic parish’s services next to a cozy fire in the living room.

“The Voice” host also shared some personal details about his sleeping arrangements with his wife, revealing they had a “sleep divorce” that was the “best thing that happened” to their marriage.
While his wife was expecting the couple’s fourth child in November 2019, Carson told “Today” viewers why the pair choose to seek out separate beds.
“I have sleep apnea, my wife’s pregnant, and during a home renovation, we downgraded to a queen-size bed. We just felt like we’re better off sleeping in different beds,” he said.
He joked that his CPAP machine makes a shared bed feel “like sleeping next to Darth Vader.”
“Most women would want to sleep in another bedroom,” he said. “I don’t snore anymore, but the noise of the machine keeps her up.”
In 2022, Carson confirmed that the arrangement continued after the baby was born.
“We both, admittedly, slept better apart,” he said on the “Today” show in 2022.
Siri is also part of the “Today” crew, where she works as a regular food contributor.
On social media, the chef and cookbook author often shares content from the family’s gorgeous kitchen, which has loads of cabinet space, sprawling counters, a subway tile backsplash, and even a “baking nook.”
In November 2023, Siri posted about her love of crafting intricate holiday tablescapes, joking that “no one is allowed to eat and mess it up,” while showing the tastefully decorated dining room.
